Fire Weather Watch Issued for Northern Arizona

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a Fire Weather Watch for portions of northern Arizona, including much of Yavapai County, due to strong winds, low humidity, and increased wildfire danger expected on Sunday. Forecasters say southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph, with gusts reaching up to 45 mph, are expected from Sunday morning through Sunday evening. Relative humidity levels are forecast to drop between 9% and 16%, creating critical fire weather conditions across the region.
