Work at Willow Lake Reveals Historic Findings

The City of Prescott is providing an update on the Willow Creek Gravity Sewer Project, including the temporary lowering of water levels at Willow Lake to support construction of a new gravity sewer main. The lake level reduction is necessary to allow for safe access and installation of critical infrastructure that will replace the existing force main along Willow Lake Road. As part of the project, an archaeological study was conducted in coordination with the Arizona State Museum and the Hopi Tribal Historic Preservation Office, in accordance with the Arizona Antiquities Act and the City of Prescott Historic Preservation Code....
