Thousands of Arizona Students Join Historic Project

Late last week, Arizona Secretary of State, and Chair of the Arizona America250 commission, Adrian Fontes visited C.I. Waggoner Elementary School as the third-grade students took part in the Dear America, Love Arizona postcard project launched earlier this year. The Secretary took some time with the students to educate them on some American and Arizona history before the students wrote out their own ‘letters’ to America sharing what they love about Arizona and reading those aloud to the class. Overall, 26,000 postcards were mailed out to more than 150 schools in all 15 Arizona counties with many schools already completing...
