On Saturday, March 28, the City of Avondale successfully hosted a tree planting event at Mountain View Park with the help of local families. A total of 6 volunteers took part in planting 13 new trees at Mountain View Park, adding shade along the walking path and enhancing the park’s natural environment. The tree planting is part of a larger grant-funded initiative aimed at expanding Avondale’s urban shade canopy. In total, 153 trees will be planted across parks, plazas, and roadside right-of-way throughout the city.
