Prescott Begins Watson Lake Water Release

On April 1, 2026, the City of Prescott’s Utilities Division began its annual surface water recharge operations at Watson Lake in accordance with state permitting requirements. As part of this process, water levels at Watson Lake will gradually decrease over the next several weeks. The target level is approximately 7 feet below the spillway, representing about a 5-foot reduction from current levels.
