On March 12, 2026, contractors on the Prescott National Forest will begin working the hand thin and pile phase of the Evacuation Route Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project on the Bradshaw Ranger District. They will be using chainsaws to cut and pile hazardous fuels within the approximately 410-acre area. This project is being implemented under the Bradshaw Landscape Environmental Assessment and is designed to thin brush and vegetation along roads that may be used as evacuation routes in the event of a wildfire.
