Wasson Peak and Muldoon Fires Update - Oct 2

Yesterday resources from Prescott National Forest responded to two separate fires near the community of Crown King. The Wasson Peak Fire, burning south of Crown King is 17 acres. Today firefighters will continue to put a line around the fire, securing the fire’s edge. Resources assigned: Prescott Hotshots, 2 – Type 2 crews, 1 – Engine and 2 Helicopters. The Wasson Peak Fire is burning in timber and brush. Aircraft is available to support fire suppression efforts if needed. The Muldoon Fire, burning on the north side of Towers Mountain, is 1 acre.
