Missed Opportunities Hurt Chino Valley Football In Loss to Maryvale

The Chino Valley Cougars football team couldn't take advantage of golden scoring opportunities in the first quarter and struggled to contain the Maryvale Panthers in the second quarter as the Cougars fell on the road Friday night, 42-14. Maryvale (1-2 overall, 0-0 4A Copper Sky) botched punts on their first two drives of the game, but Chino Valley (2-2 overall, 0-0 3A West) could only turn those mistakes into two points. The Cougars were stopped at the 3-yard line on fourth down following the first botched punt. The second went out of the back of the endzone for a safety....
